Résumé

I grew up in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa, where I spent many years working in the pottery studio with my father, Charles Cross, a ceramic artist. It was a marvellous and ever changing experience. Since relocating to the Cape in 2002, I have concentrated on water colour, acrylic and ceramic painting… And cherish every moment!

For consistency I sign my paintings as I do my pottery i.e. `CXC`. This represents my maiden ‘Cross’ (C), my ex-married name ‘Cloete’ (C) and a ‘kiss’ (X) between them.

As a member of SASA (South African Society of Arts) and CAS (Constantia Art Society), I exhibit annually at Kirstenbosch as well as several other Art Galleries
